인공영양을 먹이는 엄마의 자세와 사랑, Mother’s position for bottle feeding and loving care

 

• 엄마가 인공영양을 아기에게 먹일 때도 모유를 아기에게 먹일 때와 같이 아기를 엄마의 따뜻한 품에 포근히 안고 눈길 접촉으로 신체적 접촉으로 사랑하면서 먹여야 한다.
• 엄마가 앓을 때나 다른 어떤 일로 아기를 포근히 안고 젖병을 먹일 수 없는 경우를 제외하고 편안히 앉아 아기를 품에 안고 아기의 눈에 엄마의 눈을 맞추면서 인공영양을 먹이여야 한다.
• 아기 클립이나 방바닥에 혼자 누어있는 아기의 입에다 우유병 꼭지를 물리고 인공영양을 먹이면 엄마와 아기 자녀간 사랑 반딩(love bonding)이 형성되지 않는다.
• 이런 식으로 인공영양을 아기에게 먹이면 인공영양이 아기의 비강 속이나 기관 속으로 들어갈 수 있고 이관 속을 통과해서 중이 속으로 들어갈 수 있다. 인공영양이 중이 속으로 들어가면 중이염에 걸릴 수 있다.
• 인공영양이 기도 속으로 들어가면 사레들릴 수 있고 흡인성 폐렴에 걸릴 수 있다.
• 그 뿐만 아니라 엄마의 사랑이 아기에게 충분히 전달되지 않을 수 있다. 모자간 사랑 결속이 굳건히 형성되지도 않는다.(p.000 누워 있는 아기에게 인공영양을 우유병으로 먹일 때 참조)
• 그래서 엄마와 아기 사이에 사랑 반딩(모자간 사랑의 결속)이 잘 형성되지 않을 수 있다.

Mother’s position for bottle feeding and loving care

• When a mother is feeding her baby artificial nutrition, just like when feeding her breast milk to her baby, she should hold the baby in her warm arms and give it love through eye contact and physical contact.

• Except when the mother is sick or for some other reason when the baby cannot be fed while hugging the baby and feeding the bottle, artificial nutrition should be given while sitting comfortably, holding the baby in your arms, and keeping the mother’s eye to the baby’s.

• If you feed artificial nutrition through a baby crib or a baby who is lying alone on the floor, putting the nipple of a milk bottle in the mouth, love bonding between mother and child will not be formed.

• When artificial nutrition is fed to a baby in this way, artificial nutrition can enter the baby’s nasal passages or trachea and through the ear canal into the middle ear. If artificial nutrition enters the middle ear, it can cause otitis media.

• If artificial nutrition enters the airways, it can become choking and cause aspiration pneumonia.

• In addition, a mother’s love may not be fully conveyed to the baby. A strong bond of love between mother and mother is not formed.

• Therefore, the love bond between mother and baby (mother-child love bond) may not be formed well.
